Released July 2013
Brandon and Ben have been performing together for roughly 6 years in Brandon’s Quintet. Brandon played a few times with Luke over 5 years ago. Ben and Luke met 20 minutes before the 1st set.
As a leader Brandon discussed different elements to be explored throughout the night, primarily focusing on different meter or time cycles happening simultaneously with pocket grooves. With incredible trust in each other and an excitement for discovery the three traverse multiple genres.
Ambient, drum ‘n bass, hip hop, jazz, rock, 70′s funk, Afro-Cuban, middle-eastern folk, South Indian, African, indie-rock. . . . . .
Proceeds go toward the Clean Water in Haiti project
The Paul Draper Band was produced by Brandon and is his father’s debut CD as a leader. Paul spent 40+ years as a sideman in rock, country, and blues groups throughout the mid-west with recordings and tours too many to list.
Lucas Bingham – guitar and vocals
Eric Gould – bass and vocals
John Brewer – keys
Brandon Draper – drums and vocals
After 6 years of touring and live looping I have lot’s of loops in my rig. Here is a small bank of saved loops with very little editing for release. These samples are intended for indie basement producers to cut up and use for future projects.
While in LA working on a hiphop musical, Brandon made 2 records using rough recorded trax, analog synths, and drum sample pads.
